As the Co-Founder and CEO of Sydecar, Nik Talreja leads a firm dedicated to simplifying private investment management. Sydecar offers a platform that automates back-office operations for venture investors, including banking, compliance, contracts, and reporting, enabling clients to focus on deal-making and relationship-building. The firm serves emerging venture capitalists with tools for executing special purpose vehicles (SPVs), funds, co-investments, secondaries, and more. Since its inception in 2021, Sydecar has supported over 2,500 investment vehicles and facilitated investments exceeding $1.6 billion. The company has raised a total of $27.38 million across three funding rounds, with Deciens Capital, Pipeline Capital Partners, and Runa Capital among the investors. Sydecar's mission is to build the infrastructure that powers private markets, aiming to make it simple and efficient to form and manage investment vehicles across various asset classes. Under Nik's leadership, the firm has achieved significant milestones, including surpassing $3 billion in assets under administration and being named to the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies for 2025. Nik's background spans law, venture capital, and startups. Before founding Sydecar, he co-managed 18.ventures and co-founded Talis Partners, a law firm specializing in advising VCs and early-stage companies. He began his career as an attorney at firms such as Cooley and Weil, Gotshal & Manges. In his spare time, Nik enjoys stand-up comedy and cycling on long, windy roads.
