Overview

The North West Fund for Venture Capital is designed to support entrepreneurs build high growth companies. With an emphasis on backing people with a talent for business, it provides risk capital for new and early-stage start-up companies, in return for an equity share. The Fund invests in most industry sectors including technology - but excluding those served by the focused sector funds for Energy & Environmental, Biomedical and Digital & Creative. The Fund supports start-up and early-stage companies with a wealth of advice and a network of contacts to work with you to maximise the growth of your business. We are particularly keen to support young entrepreneurs by matching them with successful business leaders in their sector to provide support and mentoring. The North West Fund for Venture Capital provides finance ranging from £50,000 to £2million. In return, the Fund Manager will require an equity share in the business. Capital structures can include a combination of equity and loan support as best suits the needs of the company. Supports high growth companies
