Overview
NRW.BANK is the state development bank for North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Its mission is to support its owner - the state of North Rhine-Westphalia - in the completion of its structural and economic policy tasks. NRW.BANK fulfils its mission by pooling the development and promotion programmes sponsored by state, federal and EU entities and combining them with its own equity and debt products. In its three fields of promotion - "Housing & Living", "Start-ups & Growth", and " Development & Protection" - NRW.BANK uses the full range of banking products required in the field of development and promotion, from low-interest development loans and loans that offset a lack of securities or strengthen the equity capital to structured finance and equity offerings. In doing so, NRW.BANK co-operates with the banks and savings banks based in the state on a competition-neutral basis.
