Overview

Established in 2003, the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) is an independent investment company aiming to strengthen the Palestinian economy through strategic investments, while maximizing long-term returns for its ultimate shareholder—the people of Palestine. PIF operates through three impact investment arms and one asset management company: Amaar, Massader, Sharakat, and Aswaq. These entities focus on sectors such as real estate, energy, agriculture, technology, and healthcare, respectively. PIF's investment strategy involves originating projects and inviting local and international partners to co-invest at the development stage, thereby de-risking projects for its partners. This approach has led to significant investments in various sectors, including the development of Rawabi, the largest private sector project in Palestinian history, and the establishment of Taqa, a strategic renewable energy company. PIF's commitment to transparency and good governance is evident through its adherence to international auditing standards and its membership in the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds.
