Paraline UK is a Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance holding company established in August 2010. It is controlled by funds managed by Elliott Management Corporation. The company has minority investments in Asta Capital Ltd., a leading third-party managing agent at Lloyd's, and Beat Capital Partners Ltd., an insurance underwriting and managing general agency incubation platform. Paraline UK also provides funds at Lloyd's to Beat Syndicate 4242. In 2018, Paraline UK merged with Beat Capital Partners to enhance and build Beat's platform supporting independent underwriting businesses. As a result of this merger, Bermuda-based insurance holding company Paraline Group joined Neon Holdings Ltd. as Beat's strategic investment partner. The £110 million Paraline Syndicate 4242 at Lloyd's was renamed Beat Syndicate 4242. In June 2024, Ambac Financial Group, Inc., an insurance holding company, acquired a 60% controlling stake in Beat Capital Partners for approximately $282 million. This acquisition propelled Ambac to the forefront of the specialty program insurance market, aligning with its vision of being a premier destination for managing general agents (MGAs).
