Pramath Raj Sinha

Pramath Raj Sinha is an Indian entrepreneur and educator known for his contributions to higher education and angel investing. He is the founder and chairman of Harappa Education, an online institution focused on teaching workplace skills critical for the 21st century. He also serves as the founding dean and executive board member of the Indian School of Business (ISB), a top-ranked business school in India. Additionally, he is the founder and trustee of Ashoka University, a leading liberal arts institution in India. In his early career, Sinha was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he worked for 12 years, assisting both public and private sector clients in North America and Asia on business strategy and performance improvement. He later became the managing director and CEO of the ABP Group, a prominent Indian media conglomerate. His entrepreneurial ventures include founding 9.9 Group, a media and education company, and serving as a senior counselor with Albright Stonebridge Group, a U.S.-based commercial diplomacy firm. Sinha holds a Ph.D. and M.S.E. in mechanical engineering and applied mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Tech in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has been recognized for his contributions to education, including being named one of India's top 50 management thinkers by Thinkers50 in 2013 and receiving the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Kanpur in 2018.
