Pravin Gandhi

Overview

Pravin Gandhi is a seasoned angel investor with over 50 years of experience in the Indian technology sector. He co-founded Hinditron Computers in 1972, India's first IT company, which later merged with Digital Equipment Corporation in 1988. Gandhi also co-founded Digital India Ltd. and was a founding partner of Seedfund, India's first technology venture capital fund, in 1999. He has been actively involved in the Indian investment and entrepreneurial scene for over 18 years, focusing on early-stage investments in technology and impact sectors. Gandhi holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and has served on the boards of several private corporations in India. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of Nasscom and served as the President of the Manufacturers Association of Information Technology (MAIT). Gandhi has also been a Global Trustee of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and served on the boards of TiE Mumbai and the SINE incubator at IIT Mumbai. He continues to be engaged with the entrepreneurial community as an angel investor and mentor, supporting startups across various sectors, including technology, consumer goods, and real estate.
