Jake LaJoie

Overview

Jake LaJoie is a co-founder and Managing Member of Sileo Capital, an independent financial sponsor that not only makes principal equity investments but also provides strategic, operational, and financial consulting. Sileo Capital focuses on industries where its team has extensive transaction and operations experience, including multi-unit food and non-food businesses, critical infrastructure services, government services, and waste management. The firm deploys its financial and intellectual capital with North American-based companies that have at least $5 million of EBITDA, partnering with intelligent, experienced people of high integrity and character to build businesses that generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for all stakeholders. Prior to co-founding Sileo Capital, Jake was a co-founder and Managing Member of Corlex Capital from 2016 to 2019, an independent financial sponsor where he was responsible for sourcing transactions, deal execution, and post-acquisition management of portfolio companies. Before Corlex, he served as a Managing Director at Panton Equity Partners, a private equity firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a Board Member for a portfolio company, Track Utilities, LLC. Jake also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Shakey’s USA, a private equity-backed restaurant operation with $85 million in system-wide sales and 650 employees, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, financial accounting, and other key financial functions. Jake began his career as a credit analyst with NationsBank and has a unique combination of private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, and operations experience. Over the course of his career, he has completed 16 principal investments totaling $480 million of equity and more than $15 billion of M&A and corporate finance transactions. He holds a BSc. in Finance from the University of Florida, graduating cum laude.
