Prior to founding Avatar, Davis spent over 30 years in the energy industry, co-founding Energy Transfer Partners in 1994 and serving as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors until his retirement in 2007. He also served as Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Energy Transfer Equity from its initial offering until his retirement.
