REPAIR Impact Fund

Overview

The REPAIR Impact Fund is a venture capital fund based in Copenhagen, Denmark, established by Novo Holdings in 2018 with a total commitment of USD 165 million. Its mission is to replenish and enable the pipeline for anti-infective resistance by investing in companies involved in discovering and early-stage development of therapies targeting resistant microorganisms. The fund focuses on priority pathogens as defined by the World Health Organization and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, aiming to combat the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance. Since its inception, the fund has invested in 12 companies, including LimmaTech Biologics, a company developing vaccines against life-threatening bacterial infections. The REPAIR Impact Fund is expected to invest USD 20 million to 40 million per year over 3–5 years in about 20 projects, with the goal of bringing at least one new therapy to market. The fund is currently not conducting new calls and is focusing on supporting its existing portfolio. Its geographical focus includes Denmark and the United States, with a primary emphasis on early-stage investments in the biotech and health tech sectors.
