Robert Headley

Overview

Robert Headley is a seasoned venture capital investor based in Bellevue, Washington, specializing in early-stage investments across technology and healthcare sectors. As the Administrative Partner at Ignition Partners, he oversees the firm's day-to-day operations and has been instrumental in managing a fund of approximately $315 million, focusing on early-stage investments in the United States, Canada, and Europe. His portfolio includes companies in consumer internet, cloud computing, digital media, advertising, wireless, networking, mobile, infrastructure, medical products, pharmaceutical services, life sciences, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, information technology, analytics, cloud data services, and finance. Prior to joining Ignition Partners in 2000, Robert spent seven years at Starbucks Coffee Company, most recently as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer. In this role, he managed investor relations, corporate development, treasury, business planning and analysis, and profit improvement functions. Before Starbucks, he spent three years in the principal-investment area and investment-banking division of Goldman Sachs in New York and Sydney, Australia. Robert holds MS and BS degrees with distinction in industrial engineering from Stanford University. Robert has served as a director on the boards of Enclarity and Earth Class Mail and previously served on the board of Extend America (acquired by Sprint) and FiREapps. He is currently a board member with the Evergreen Venture Capital Association (EVCA), a partnership of Washington State venture capital firms working to nurture the venture capital community in the region.
