Ron Mahabir

Overview

Ron Mahabir is an experienced angel investor and entrepreneur specializing in clean technology and electric vehicles. He co-founded Asia Cleantech Capital, focusing on sustainable transportation and clean energy investments. He also served as CEO of Greenlots, a developer of open charging networks for electric vehicles, which sold systems in 13 countries. Additionally, he co-founded Annex Power, a leading clean energy group in Southeast Asia with over 120 MW of solar, biogas, and wind experience. In 2004, Mahabir led an investment in The Walz Group, a mortgage default communications company in the U.S., which ranked #45 on the Inc. 500 list in 2008. He also established the Japan operations for Colony Capital, a global private equity group. Mahabir graduated with honors from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he launched his first start-up, the Credit Union for Berkeley Students.
