Overview

Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is a government institution mandated to accelerate Rwanda’s economic development by enabling private sector growth. Established in 2008 through the merger of eight government institutions, RDB serves as a one-stop center for business and investment registration, visa facilitation, environmental impact assessments, and tax incentives management. Under the supervision of the Office of the President, RDB is governed by a Board of Directors comprising global entrepreneurs and experts. The agency's mission is to fast-track economic development in Rwanda by enabling private sector growth. RDB's key services include investment promotion, export and special economic zone development, investment deal negotiation, tourism and conservation, and private sector skills development. The agency focuses on various sectors such as agriculture, education, energy, financial services, global business services, health services, ICT, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, real estate and construction, and tourism. RDB aims to provide support throughout the entire investment journey, ensuring that Rwanda remains one of the most competitive places to do business in Africa and the world.
