Overview

Da Vinci Schools operate three small, college-preparatory public charter high schools, Da Vinci Communications, Da Vinci Design, and Da Vinci Science, and a K-8 'home school-hybrid' model, Da Vinci Innovation Academy. Located in the South Bay of Los Angeles at the corners of El Segundo, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach, Da Vinci Schools have attracted national recognition for innovative work in college preparation, real world learning, and business and industry partnerships. Da Vinci is one of only a few schools nationwide to receive a Next Generation Learning Challenges grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundations. \\Da Vinci graduates have been accepted to every UC and Cal State, and many other prestigious universities across the nation, including Stanford, Yale, Dartmouth, Columbia, MIT, Purdue, Carnegie Mellon, USC, LMU, and many more.100% of Da Vinci's Class of 2015 graduates were accepted to college, of whom 75% were accepted to a 4-year college or university, and many have gained valuable work experience while at Da Vinci.\\In August 2015, Da Vinci launched a 13th year program called Da Vinci Extension, in partnership with UCLA Extension. DVX is a university transfer and career pathway program for current Da Vinci students who wish to complete their freshman GE college coursework at Da Vinci while gaining on-the-job work experience through internships (all at no cost to families). \\In response to the hundreds of visitors from six continents who have come to Da Vinci to study its best practices, Da Vinci has launched a practice sharing institute called Da Vinci Institute to provide adult learning opportunities for educators from around the globe. \\Da Vinci Schools and Wiseburn USD recently broke ground on their new world-class, 21st century high school campus in El Segundo, CA, slated to open in August 2017.
