Scott Matthew Franklin is a British property investor specializing in real estate development and management. He is the founder of Franklin Property, a property management and investment firm based in the South West of England. Established in 2018, Franklin Property focuses on sourcing investment opportunities in fixed assets, aiming to provide great returns with minimal effort for its partners. The firm handles the full process of acquiring, renovating, and renting both domestic and commercial properties alongside partner investors. Scott's experience in entrepreneurship began at an early age, and he acquired his first rental property in 2008, which sparked his lifelong passion for property. Since then, he has dedicated his energy to fully understanding the property sector, attending regular training courses and seminars to stay up to date with the latest investment strategies. He believes knowledge is power, particularly in the world of business. Scott has also gained accreditation with LASW and West of England Rental Standard. Franklin Property was officially established in 2018, when Scott decided to pursue this venture alongside his full-time job role. Two years down the line and with a steadily growing portfolio, he took the leap and left his job in July 2020. Currently, Scott has two properties that are occupied by professional tenants, having invested £200k of his own money into acquisition and renovation. He is achieving a great monthly return, and the capital growth of these two properties alone is already in the region of £34k over two years. Another two properties are due to be added to the portfolio by mid-September 2020. An exciting project that is also on the cards is the development of a local shop, providing a reduced retail area and three studio apartments, to meet the demand for affordable, solo occupancy living space in the local area. His priority for the next few years is to continue growing the portfolio with a number of three-bedroom family homes requiring refurbishment, along with branching out into the development sector by acquiring commercial buildings. His aim is to always increase both the financial return of a property, along with giving back something valuable to the local community. The goal is to achieve a portfolio with a net worth in excess of £3.6 million within 7 years, and he is always looking for partners to join him on this journey.
