Sean Breuner

Overview

Sean Breuner is an angel investor and entrepreneur specializing in consumer goods, providing capital and mentorship to emerging brands. He is the Founder and CEO of AvantStay, a technology-driven hospitality brand that offers short-term rentals tailored for groups. Under his leadership, AvantStay has become a significant player in the luxury short-term rental market in the United States. Prior to AvantStay, Breuner founded AvantSpace, a boutique neighborhood coworking space in San Francisco, which has been sold out since its launch in Spring 2018. He also founded and served as chairman for Generation SF, a non-profit charity focused on bringing generations of families together for a greater cause. Earlier in his career, Breuner was Head of Growth at Heighten, a dynamic sales automation platform acquired by LinkedIn. He also founded and led two real estate companies—Pacific LMG, which was acquired by Ghirardelli Property Group in 2010, and Coastal Realty, which was acquired in 2011. Additionally, Breuner served as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and as SVP of Real Estate Acquisitions and Business Development at BM Tonkin. Breuner holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master’s degree from Columbia Business School with distinction. He is an angel investor and operating advisor in disruptive finance and real estate businesses and holds several board positions.
