Sean Foote

Overview

Sean Foote is a seasoned venture capitalist and operator based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with over 25 years of experience in early-stage investments and corporate venture capital. He is the co-founder and Managing Director of Transform Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, and serves as an Operating Partner at Co=Creation=Capital. Prior to these roles, Foote was the Managing Director of Labrador Ventures, where he invested in over 100 companies, including Hotmail, Pandora, and RocketFuel. He began his venture career at Scripps Ventures, the Corporate Venture Capital arm of the E.W. Scripps Corporation. Before transitioning into venture capital, Foote was a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group, working across various industries such as telecom, computers, healthcare, banking, and automotive. He also served as a systems engineer at AT&T Bell Laboratories, developing artificial intelligence systems for testing complex telecommunications networks. In addition to his professional endeavors, Foote has been a faculty member at the University of California's Haas School of Business for over 20 years, teaching courses in venture capital and private equity. He has also taught impact investing at Stanford University and has been involved in various philanthropic activities, including serving on the boards of Accion and FairTrade USA.
