Overview

Sequoia Surge is a rapid-scale up program initiated by Sequoia Capital India, designed to support early-stage startups across India and Southeast Asia. The program offers seed capital ranging from $1 million to $3 million, combined with company-building workshops, global immersion trips, and access to a network of seasoned mentors and founders. This comprehensive support aims to accelerate the growth of startups and provide founders with a competitive edge during the early stages of company building. Since its inception in 2019, Surge has launched multiple cohorts, each comprising a diverse group of startups tackling various challenges across sectors such as technology, healthcare, consumer goods, financial services, education, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, climate tech, digital health, metaverse, new consumer brands, new e-commerce models, SaaS, Dev tools, food & beverage, and more. The program has been instrumental in nurturing startups that have collectively raised over $1.5 billion in follow-on funding, with more than 60% of companies from the first five cohorts progressing to raise Series A rounds and beyond. Surge's investment strategy focuses on identifying and supporting high-potential startups at the seed and early stages, providing them with the necessary resources and guidance to scale rapidly and successfully.
