Overview

Şevket Başev is a leading Turkish angel investor and investment banker with over 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions. He founded 3 Seas Capital Partners in 2003, which has completed over 120 transactions totaling more than $7 billion, making it a leading financial institution in Turkey's M&A sector. In 2010, Başev facilitated the acquisition of Multinet by Up Group, a global leader in corporate and public benefits, and subsequently became the Chairman of Multinet Up's Board of Directors. Under his leadership, Multinet Up has expanded its services to include MultiNet meal allowances, MultiGift rewards, MultiPetrol fuel management, MultiTravel corporate travel, MultiAvantaj procurement, MultiPay mobile wallet, and MultiPOS mobile point-of-sale solutions. In 2016, Başev established inventiv, a technology subsidiary of Multinet Up, focusing on card and non-card payment methods, mobile payments, mobile applications, and cybersecurity. Inventiv has become a significant player in Turkey's fintech landscape, serving over 2 million card users and 50,000 merchants. Başev's strategic vision and expertise have been instrumental in transforming Multinet Up into a leading fintech group in Turkey, offering a diverse range of innovative financial solutions.
