Shailesh Ghorpade is a seasoned venture capital investor with over 23 years of experience in project and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and private equity across various sectors, including financial services, energy, IT, and real estate. He has held senior positions in companies such as Birla Global Finance, Tata Finance, Infosys Technologies, and Price Waterhouse Coopers. Prior to his venture capital career, Shailesh was the Chief Strategy & Planning Officer at Suzlon and served as the CEO and Managing Director of Azure Capital, a boutique real estate private equity fund. He completed his MBA from JBIMS and holds a B.Sc. (Tech) from UDCT, Mumbai. In 2013, Shailesh co-founded Exfinity Venture Partners, a Bengaluru-based early-stage venture capital firm focusing on B2B deep-tech startups. The firm has invested in several companies, including Skit.ai, Akridata, and BangDB. Exfinity's portfolio spans sectors such as enterprise software, SaaS, deep tech, AI, IoT, and big data. Shailesh's investment strategy emphasizes backing technology-driven product companies incubated in India, aiming to scale them globally. Shailesh is also the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Reservoir Investment Managers, a firm that mentors startups with proven ideas and assured revenue streams.
