Overview
Shumeet Banerji is the founder of Condorcet, LP, an advisory and investment firm specializing in early and development stage technology companies. Condorcet's primary focus is on the intersection of data with biology and healthcare. Dr. Banerji retired as CEO of Booz & Company in 2013 after a long career at the firm and its predecessor Booz, Allen, Hamilton. In 2007-08, he co-led the historic deal separating Booz, Allen, Hamilton, selling the government business to the Carlyle Group and spinning off the global strategy consulting division as Booz & Company. His current activities are all connected by a thread of the impact of technology and data on human life. Condorcet Partners’ primary focus is on the intersection of data with biology and healthcare. Dr. Banerji has served on the board of directors of Silicon Valley pioneer Hewlett Packard Company and its successor HP, Inc since 2011. He is an Independent Director of Jio Platforms Limited, India’s most ambitious digital platform play. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Reliance Retail. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Felix Pharmaceuticals (Ireland), Qnity Electronics Inc. and of the Panel of Senior Advisors of Chatham House (The Royal Institute of International Affairs, UK). Dr. Banerji was a member of the faculty at the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business before joining Booz, Allen and received his Ph.D from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University where he has previously served on the Dean’s Advisory Board. At Reliance Industries Limited, Dr. Banerji is an Independent Director and a member of the Risk Management Committee. He is also the Chairman of the Human Resources, Nomination and Remuneration and the Corporate Social Responsibility & Governance committees.
