The Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) is a Spanish state-owned holding company established in 1995 to manage the government's industrial investments. Its mission is to make profitable its corporate shareholdings and aim all its activities towards achieving the public interest. SEPI operates under the Ministry of Finance and is considered a sovereign wealth fund. SEPI's investment focus spans various sectors, including shipbuilding, postal services, energy, environmental and agribusiness, food distribution, communication, corporate promotion, finance, and leisure and sports. The company employs a diverse investment strategy, engaging in growth, late-stage, buyout, turnaround, and distressed investments. Its geographical focus is primarily on Spain. As of 2024, SEPI reported revenues of €6.36 billion, with assets totaling €19.87 billion. The company oversees a portfolio of 14 majority-owned subsidiaries and holds minority stakes in several other companies.
