Overview

Socratis Ploussas is a seasoned fintech advocate and investor with a focus on early-stage ventures in Greece and the UK. He is the founder and CEO of KNEX PC, a technology company specializing in software development for financial institutions, particularly in the areas of API platforms and payment infrastructure. Under his leadership, KNEX has become a pioneer in fintech solutions, offering services such as team augmentation, product development, and long-term support for non-financial institutions seeking embedded solutions. In addition to his role at KNEX, Socratis has been actively involved in the Greek startup ecosystem. He served as the founder and CEO of Parnasse S.A., which operated OpenCircle, Greece's first equity crowdfunding platform. He is also a founding member and president of the Hellenic Start-up Association, contributing significantly to the development and promotion of innovation in Greece. His previous experience includes positions in the marketing departments of major Greek multinational companies, such as 3E (Coca-Cola bottler in 26 countries) and the Fourlis Group (master franchisee of IKEA and Intersport, and distributor of Samsung products). Socratis holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from DEREE – The American College of Greece and an MBA in International Business from Henley Management School.
