St Andrews Angels

Overview

St Andrews Angels is an angel investment network managed by alumni from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. The network is led by two independent boards located in London and New York, each composed of business executives, financiers, and entrepreneurs. These boards focus on promoting Scottish ventures and facilitating deal flow within their networks, offering investment capital, strategic advice, and mentoring to early-stage companies. Membership is open to all University of St Andrews alumni, faculty, and affiliated individuals. Non-affiliated individuals may join if sponsored by a current member. Investor members must qualify as accredited investors under Regulation D of the Securities and Exchange Commission in the U.S. or as certified high-net-worth individuals or self-certified sophisticated investors as detailed by the Financial Conduct Authority in the U.K. Investor members are expected to participate in at least one investment annually. The network also provides educational seminars on entrepreneurship and the capital-raising process to students at the University of St Andrews. It organizes regular opportunities for students to attend pitch events in St Andrews and other locations through its sister organizations and partners. The group runs a series of lectures and keynote speeches centered around economics and entrepreneurship, featuring notable speakers such as David S. Rose.
