Overview

Techstars Industries of the Future Accelerator is a program that supports and advances world-class startups focused on emerging technologies across various industries. The accelerator is operated in partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the University of Tennessee System, and is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. It aims to foster innovation in sectors such as artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, quantum information science, 5G and advanced wireless technology, biotechnology, clean energy, mobility, and climatetech. The program offers an intensive 13-week curriculum that includes mentorship, training, and workshop sessions, connecting startups to Techstars' extensive network of mentors, investors, corporate partners, and alumni. Companies participating in the accelerator are eligible for up to $120,000 in funding. The program culminates in a Demo Day, where startups present their progress and achievements. Since its inception, the accelerator has been committed to identifying and nurturing startups that have the potential to transform their respective industries. By leveraging the combined expertise and resources of its partners, the program provides a platform for entrepreneurs to scale their innovations and make a significant impact in the market.
