The industries targeted by Trust Horizon are extensive, covering renewable energy, utilities, agriculture, aquaculture, tourism, aviation, property development, consultancy, meat procurement and trading, special events, pastoral management, quarrying, education, healthcare, and technology. In recent years, Trust Horizon has made significant strides in supporting sustainable energy initiatives. In 2025, the foundation joined the Tōtara Energy Limited Partnership syndicate, acquiring a 30% stake in the Pioneer Energy Group. This investment aims to expand renewable energy and waste-to-energy projects, including wind, hydro, and anaerobic digestion operations, contributing to a more sustainable future for New Zealand. Additionally, Trust Horizon has invested in Lodestone Energy, a leading solar energy company, committing $5 million to support the development of five solar farms, two of which are located in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Trust Horizon's commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated by its efforts to become a carbon net-zero organization by 2023. Moreover, Trust Horizon offers loans starting at $100,000 to assist local organizations in transitioning to sustainable energy sources, such as solar power.
