TSC Alliance Endowment Fund

Overview

The TSC Alliance Endowment Fund is a nonprofit organization established to receive gifts that are invested to generate an income stream supporting the mission of the TSC Alliance. This mission focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals affected by tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) by catalyzing new treatments, driving research toward a cure, and expanding access to lifelong support. The Endowment Fund ensures the TSC Alliance has an ongoing source of funding to better serve families touched by TSC through research, family services, and education. The Endowment Fund operates as a separate fiduciary entity, specifically chartered to receive and invest gifts. It is governed by its own Board of Directors, which includes individuals such as Rita DiDominico (Chair), Darren Miles (Secretary), and Mark Schaengold (Treasurer). The Board is responsible for overseeing the Fund's activities and ensuring that the investments align with the mission of the TSC Alliance. In December 2025, the TSC Alliance Endowment Fund invested in Aeovian Pharmaceuticals as part of their Series B financing to support the Phase 2 trial of AV078, a first-in-class CNS-penetrant selective mTORC1 inhibitor for TSC. This investment reflects the Fund's commitment to advancing treatments for TSC and its strategy of investing in ventures that directly contribute to the TSC Alliance's mission. Any earnings from these investments are reinvested to further support the organization's objectives.
