Tufts Investment Office

Overview

The Tufts Investment Office is responsible for managing Tufts University's endowment and other long-term financial assets, aiming to provide current and future financial support critical to the university's academic and research mission. The office focuses on long-term investing to ensure the university's financial health and sustainability. The investment strategy is designed to maximize long-term returns while providing sufficient liquidity to support the university’s current operations and satisfying risk guidelines specific to the university’s objectives. Each year, approximately 5 percent of the endowment’s value is distributed to the university to support its operations and mission. The remaining assets are held in investments to increase in value over time and support future generations, in perpetuity. The Tufts Investment Office partners with exceptional people and organizations to invest the endowment and other long-term financial assets of the university.
