Overview

Established in April 2013 as an initiative of DP World, Turn8 is a Dubai-based venture capital firm specializing in early-stage technology startups. The firm focuses on sectors such as web and mobile applications, e-commerce, education technology, sustainable living technologies, crowdsourced services, social networking, and healthcare technologies. Turn8 offers a structured four-month accelerator program that includes investment, mentorship, training, and business development support. Each selected startup receives seed capital ranging from $24,000 to $30,000 in exchange for a small equity stake. In addition to its accelerator program, Turn8 launched the $60 million Turn8 Innovation Fund I L.P., aiming to bridge the gap between seed funding and growth-stage investments. This fund supports startups from the accelerator stage to full-fledged businesses, providing follow-on funding to scale and grow globally. The fund's dual investment strategy includes seed funding for accelerator-stage startups and follow-on funding for growth-stage startups that have graduated from the Turn8 accelerator.
