Undaunted

Overview

Undaunted is a UK-based hub for climate innovation, supporting startups and SMEs addressing climate change. The organization offers programs that create new routes into green entrepreneurship, nurture high-potential pre-seed startups, and enable innovators in the early stages of scaling and commercialization. Undaunted's ecosystem aims to make London and the UK a great place to start and scale solutions to the climate challenge at pace. Undaunted's flagship program, The Greenhouse, has supported over 165 startups since 2012, with an 88% survival rate compared to the industry average of 10%. These alumni companies have collectively raised over $1.33 billion in investment and operate across 30 countries, creating over 1,600 jobs. The organization forecasts that by 2030, its alumni will save 29 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent, avoid 76 million tonnes of waste, and save 7.4 million liters of fresh water. Undaunted is a partnership between Imperial College London's Grantham Institute - Climate Change and the Environment and the Royal Institution. The organization is based between Scale Space on Imperial’s White City campus within the White City Innovation District and the Grantham Institute on Imperial’s South Kensington campus. Undaunted's mission is to build a bridge from the experimentation and discovery stage of climate technology, nurturing innovation until it is ready to be scaled up, and to create the blueprint for a successful climate innovation ecosystem.
