Overview

The Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the growth of early-stage technology companies in Vermont. Established in 2005, VCET offers a comprehensive suite of services to entrepreneurs, including one-on-one business coaching, access to mentors, funding advice, and capital through its venture funds. VCET's strategy focuses on providing actionable advantages to Vermont's entrepreneurs through people, platform, and capital. This includes flexible coworking spaces, business consulting, mentorship, community events, seed capital investment, and smart introductions. The organization has directly assisted over 3,800 entrepreneurs and has a portfolio of over 75 startups and scaling companies. Operating as a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation, VCET collaborates with strategic partners such as the University of Vermont, Middlebury College, the Vermont Technology Council, and the State of Vermont. These partnerships enable VCET to support the commercialization of new technologies, diversify Vermont's economy, and create jobs and entrepreneurial wealth.
