Zach Sims

Zach Sims is an American entrepreneur and investor, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Codecademy, an online platform offering interactive coding lessons and tutorials. Under his leadership, Codecademy has grown to serve millions of users worldwide, partnering with organizations such as The White House, the Government of Colombia, American Express, and Rakuten. The company has attracted significant venture capital funding from prominent investors, including Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Index Ventures, Richard Branson, and Yuri Milner. Prior to founding Codecademy, Sims gained experience in product and business development roles at startups like GroupMe, which was acquired by Skype, and drop.io, acquired by Facebook. He also worked in the venture capital industry with AOL Ventures, the venture capital arm of AOL. In 2013, he was named to Inc. Magazine's 30 Under 30 list and Forbes Magazine's 30 Under 30 list. The City of New York named him a New York City Venture Fellow in 2013.
