BLOC Smart Africa is part of SDG500, a $500 million public-private blended finance impact investing platform dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The fund's investment strategy targets businesses in sectors such as technology, financial services, insurance, healthcare, education, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, retail, transportation, telecommunications, media, real estate, manufacturing, and tourism. It focuses on companies at seed, early stage, and growth stages, with investments ranging from $1 million to $10 million. The geographical focus includes countries like Côte d'Ivoire, Luxembourg, Mauritius, and Rwanda. BLOC Smart Africa's mission is to accelerate Africa's digital transformation by supporting innovative startups that address critical challenges and contribute to sustainable economic development across the continent.
