Carlos Fernández González, born in Mexico City in 1966, is a distinguished Mexican industrial engineer and businessman. He graduated from the Universidad Anáhuac with a degree in industrial engineering and furthered his education with senior management programs at the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE). From 1997 to 2013, Fernández González served as the CEO and Chairman of Grupo Modelo, leading the company to become the seventh-largest brewing group globally and the largest beer exporter worldwide. In 2013, he founded Grupo Finaccess S.A.P.I. de C.V., a private investment firm with a diverse portfolio spanning real estate, private equity, and venture capital. The firm operates across multiple countries, including Mexico, the United States, Spain, China, Australia, and New Zealand. Notable investments include a significant stake in Restaurant Brands New Zealand Limited and a board position at Inmobiliaria Colonial, SOCIMI S.A. He has also held directorial roles at companies such as Anheuser-Busch, Emerson Electric Co., Grupo Televisa, Crown Imports, Ltd., Inbursa, and the Mexican Stock Exchange.
