Overview

Dansk Vækstkapital is an investment fund strategy under Danske Private Equity and Danske Bank Asset Management, focusing on investments in venture funds, buy-out funds, and direct minority and co-investments primarily across the Nordic region. The strategy is backed by leading Nordic institutional investors across four vintages and has invested approximately DKK 9.4 billion since its inception in 2011. The fund's investment approach includes three modules: venture funds, buy-out funds, and co-investments. In November 2025, Dansk Vækstkapital IV raised approximately DKK 1.7 billion in its first fundraising round, with investors including EIFO (the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark), Dansk Industri, ATP, Danica, and DTU’s subsidiary PSV Foundry. The fund aims to provide risk capital to entrepreneurs and growth companies while generating attractive returns for investors. The first investments are expected to be closed in the near future, with additional capital to be raised over the next 12 months. In December 2024, Danske Bank assumed management of the Dansk Vækstkapital funds from EIFO, further reinforcing its position in the Danish entrepreneurship ecosystem. This move allows Danske Bank to contribute to the growth and development of start-ups and growth companies in Denmark and the Nordic region, aligning with its strategic purpose of creating financial solutions that unlock the potential in people and businesses. In February 2026, Carsten Gjørtler Salling was recruited as a new partner in Dansk Vækstkapital. He will play a key role in the selection and management of venture investments in the Dansk Vækstkapital funds, strengthening the fund's focus on attractive return prospects in start-ups and growth companies both within and outside Denmark.
