The e@UBC Seed Fund is a student-run venture capital fund that invests in early-stage startups founded by University of British Columbia (UBC) students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The fund aims to support innovative ventures by providing risk capital to help them build momentum and bridge the gap to additional outside investment. Established through generous charitable contributions from UBC alumni and others, the Seed Fund plays a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship within the UBC community. The fund focuses on investing in startups across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, consumer products, clean technology, media and entertainment, education, financial services, agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, energy, retail, real estate, telecommunications, and biotechnology.
