Overview
Gary Hattem is an independent philanthropy and impact investing advisor, formerly managing director of the Deutsche Bank Global Social Finance Group. He has a long history of aligning diverse capital providers to achieve social and environmental development goals. In his previous role, Hattem was responsible for the firm's lending, investment, and philanthropic activities targeted to disadvantaged communities, overseeing a portfolio of $600 million in loans and investments. He also served as President of the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, focusing on community development and social finance initiatives. After leaving Deutsche Bank, Hattem continued his work in impact investing by joining the advisory board of Dignity Capital, an organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through impact investing. Hattem holds a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute and a B.S. Degree from Purchase College.
