Overview

Hemant Asher is a seasoned venture capitalist and serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in enterprise technology and startup scaling. He currently serves as a Venture Partner at Saama Capital, an independent, cross-border venture fund investing across the U.S. and India. In this role, Hemant focuses on identifying, advising, and helping scale early-stage startups in the Enterprise Technology space. Prior to joining Saama Capital, he co-founded Enquero, a data analytics company specializing in sales and partner analytics for the high-tech industry. Under his leadership, Enquero scaled from a 3-person startup to over 750 employees in just six years, culminating in its strategic acquisition by Genpact. Post-acquisition, Hemant served as the Chief Operating Officer of Genpact’s Analytics business, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the analytics division. Earlier in his career, Hemant held revenue and market leadership roles at Infosys and was involved in three other startups in supply chain visibility, cross-platform messaging, and ERP financial reporting. Hemant holds an MBA from Capital University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai. His extensive experience spans various sectors, including technology, enterprise software, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, e-commerce, FinTech, healthTech, edTech, consumer services, commercial services, finance, media, retail, and logistics. He has been instrumental in leading investments ranging from $1 million to $50 million, focusing on seed, early-stage, and growth-stage companies in the United States and India. Hemant's investment philosophy centers on identifying innovative solutions that address complex business challenges, with a particular emphasis on enterprise technology and data-driven decision-making.
