Overview

HP Jin co-founded Telenav in 1999, leading it to become a global leader in location-based services, automotive navigation, and location-targeted mobile advertising. Under his leadership, Telenav was the first company to launch GPS navigation services for mobile phones worldwide, reaching over 100 countries. The company also became the first location-based services firm in the USA to go public, listing on NASDAQ in May 2010. Telenav has subsidiaries in the United States, China, Europe, and South America. Prior to founding Telenav, HP Jin served as a Senior Strategy Consultant at the McKenna Group and as a Business Strategy and Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. He also held the position of Technical Director at LINCSS/Loral Space Communication. HP Jin holds a Ph.D. in Guidance, Navigation, and Control from Stanford University, along with a Ph.D. minor in Electrical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China. HP Jin's strategic vision has been instrumental in Telenav's growth and innovation in the connected-car and location-based services sectors, positioning the company as a significant player in the automotive navigation industry.
