Established as a 50:50 joint venture between Piramal Enterprises Limited and Bain Capital's Special Situations team, IndiaRF aims to provide attractive, long-term, risk-adjusted returns to investors by making control investments in under-invested or stressed mid-market companies across diverse sectors. The fund leverages the combined strengths of its sponsors to create and deliver value propositions for investors. IndiaRF's investment strategy focuses on sectors such as manufacturing, consumer goods, and infrastructure, where business transformation can be achieved through recapitalization and operational strategies. The fund targets companies that are under-invested or stressed, seeking to deploy adaptive capital through bespoke structures tailored to each business. Since its inception, IndiaRF has fully committed the $629 million from its first fund, raised from international institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices.
