Jaren Glover

Overview

Jaren Glover is an engineer turned investor who lives at the intersection of code, capital, and culture. Shifting the culture and status quo are his modus operandi. He focuses on early-stage venture capital, leading or co-leading pre-seed and seed rounds a handful of times per year. Jaren invests approximately $500k to $1.5M in founders with specific tastes regarding market dynamics, technology, and product. He was a first-round investor in District, Doss, and WarpStream (acquired by Confluent). As an engineer, Jaren was born and educated in Louisiana. He attended Louisiana Tech University and then joined GE’s Information Technology Leadership Program, where he learned how to build enterprise products and teams on a global scale. This program enabled him to work and train internationally in China and England, where he learned how to create value and impact outside of the United States. He then joined Robinhood (employee ~40) as the 2nd Infrastructure Engineer, where he built, deployed, and monitored complex distributed systems to ensure the firm scaled to support rapid user growth from 150K to 22M accounts, democratizing access to financial markets. There, he was a contributor to a diverse set of Robinhood products such as Gold, Crypto, Self-Clearing, and scaling order execution and market data. Jaren allocated a large percentage of his time scaling Robinhood’s human capital via hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new hires. He also spent time laying the foundation for IT systems that helped scale their customer support operations. After a decade of curating his own point of view and partnering with 40+ founders, Jaren is now focused on early-stage investing and spending time ideating with ambitious and customer-centric founders. He focuses on the intersection of code, capital, and culture, investing $500k to $1.5M in founders with a discerning eye for market dynamics, technology, and product. He was a first-round investor in District, Doss, and WarpStream (acquired by Confluent).
