Ken Landis

Overview

Ken Landis is an angel investor and CEO of Landis Capital, a venture capital firm based in New York. Landis Capital provides seed, early, and later-stage venture investments in consumer products, e-commerce, and enterprise companies, with a focus on technology, fashion, wellness, and beauty. The firm has invested in companies such as JOOR, Inc., MIRA BEAUTY, Strive Talent, Source4Style, Veracity, AllWork, Troops, and Artsicle. Prior to founding Landis Capital, Ken Landis co-founded Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Inc., which was acquired by The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc., and Tula Skincare, which was acquired by Procter & Gamble Co. He also served as CEO of Benetton Cosmetics Corp., a subsidiary of Benetton Group SpA, and as Corporate Treasurer of IMS Health, Inc. He began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. Ken Landis holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and serves on the boards of various organizations, including the Dean’s Council of New York Weill Cornell Medical, the Chairman’s Council of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Directors Council of the Museum of Modern Art.
