Overview

Motieka Investment Fund (MIF) is Lithuania's first employee investment fund, established on June 2, 2020. The fund was created for the employees of the law firm 'Motieka ir Audzevičius,' allowing them to invest in their clients' businesses. This model fosters a unique partnership where lawyers become co-investors alongside their clients, emphasizing shared success and responsibility. Operating as a closed-end limited partnership (KŪB), MIF has a total portfolio size of €1,295,355 and has invested in 17 companies since its inception. The fund's innovative approach has positioned it as a pioneer in the Lithuanian investment landscape. MIF focuses on investments in sectors where the team can provide legal services and create added value, including real estate, investment funds, electric vehicle charging, software, beauty services, artificial intelligence, high-tech, digital transformation, alternative energies, gaming, peer-to-peer lending, and education. The fund invests across various stages, including pre-seed, seed, seed+, Series A, Series B, and growth equity, allowing it to engage with startups at different points in their development.

Investment Focus

• Investments are made through a Limited Partnership Motieka Investment Fund, a general partner of which is Motieka Fund Management, and the limited partners (investors) are the team members of the law firm Motieka & Audzevičius.
