Robert Kraal is an angel investor and co-founder of Silverflow, a cloud-native payment processing company based in Amsterdam. Silverflow offers a single API connection to card networks, aiming to modernize the payment processing infrastructure. The company has raised significant funding, including a €37 million Series B round in March 2026, led by Picus Capital, with participation from Rabo Investments and existing investors. This funding is intended to accelerate global expansion, enhance product offerings, and increase the workforce by over 50%. Prior to founding Silverflow, Kraal had an extensive career in the payments industry. He served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Card Acquiring & Processing at Adyen, a leading global payment company. His experience also includes roles at Google Netherlands and Bibit, the first global Payment Service Provider, which was acquired by RBS/Worldpay. Kraal holds a degree in Geophysics and has over 20 years of experience in online payments. At Silverflow, Kraal is responsible for business development, maintaining relationships with card schemes, acquirers, payment service providers, and regulators. Under his leadership, Silverflow has grown rapidly, processing nearly 1.75 million transactions daily and approaching one billion transactions annually. The company's clients include Deutsche Bank, Bolt, Payabl., and Buckaroo, among others. Silverflow's cloud-native platform is designed to reduce cost and complexity, enabling clients to innovate and scale their payment processing capabilities effectively.
