Overview

Scot Chisholm is an American entrepreneur and investor, best known as the co-founder and former CEO of Classy, a fundraising software company for nonprofit organizations. Under his leadership, Classy became a leading platform for nonprofits, facilitating the raising of billions of dollars annually. In 2022, Classy was acquired by GoFundMe, creating the largest giving platform in the world. Chisholm transitioned to an advisory role following the acquisition. Beyond Classy, Chisholm has founded and invested in several ventures. He established Highland, a private community and educational platform for startup founders, and Haskill Creek, a modern health and wellness retail brand. He also founded Save Farmland, a nonprofit organization focused on protecting agricultural land from over-development. As an angel investor, Chisholm has made over 20 investments in startups, including software companies like CaseText, acquired for $650 million, and in the cryptocurrency space with Ripple. He is also a co-owner of Albion Soccer Club, a youth soccer organization in the United States. Chisholm holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked as a senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he contributed to the development of the firm's Lean Six Sigma practice. He has served on several nonprofit and organizational boards, including Team Rubicon, Street Soccer USA, and the Nature Conservancy California. Chisholm resides in Whitefish, Montana, with his wife and two sons, and is an active advisor and angel investor, investing out of a family fund called Tall Timbers Holding Company, which has a portfolio of startup investments, wholly owned businesses, and property/land.
