Southeast Investor Group (SEIG) is a private peer-to-peer membership composed of partners from 25 venture capital funds, 5 corporate venture funds, and 20 individual investors and family offices. Founded in 1995, SEIG is dedicated to investing in growth-stage technology companies across the Southeastern United States. The group meets monthly in Atlanta, Georgia, to evaluate and invest in companies seeking funding between $2 million and $15 million. SEIG's investment focus spans various technology sectors, including business products (B2B), agtech/sustainability, cloud services/SaaS, communications/media/entertainment, data analytics, fintech, healthcare IT, network security and cyber-security, machine learning and AI tools, martech, blockchain applications, IoT device systems, manufacturing/logistics/supply chain, and more. The group primarily invests in companies that have unique technology, demonstrate real demand through customer traction, and possess the potential for exponential growth by executing a defined market strategy. Over its history, SEIG members have collectively managed more than $3 billion in capital and have invested in over 270 companies. The group fosters co-investing among its members and has a track record of successful exits, including sales to major corporations such as Microsoft, IBM, and United Technologies. SEIG also sponsors an MBA Fellowship Program to train young business professionals for careers in venture capital, private equity, and corporate development, providing hands-on experience in identifying and processing technology growth-stage companies directly with Southeast CEOs.
