How to Download & Export Your Data
Why Export Your Data?
You may want to download a copy of your data for several reasons:
- Keep a personal backup of your campaigns, templates, and personas
- Review your engagement activity and comment history
- Migrate to another tool or maintain records before deleting your account
- Meet compliance or legal requirements (GDPR Article 20 — Right to Data Portability)
How to Download Your Data
- Log in to your ConnectSafely dashboard
- Click Settings in the left sidebar
- Scroll to the Your Data section
- Click the Download Data button
- Wait a few seconds while we prepare your export
- Your browser will automatically download a ZIP file
The file will be named like: connectsafely-data-yourname-2026-04-11.zip
What's Included in Your Export
The ZIP archive contains three files:
1. data-summary.html
A human-readable summary of your data that opens in any web browser. This is the easiest way to review what we have about you.
2. raw-data.json
A machine-readable JSON file containing all your data in a structured format. Use this if you want to import your data into another tool or process it programmatically.
3. README.txt
A plain text file explaining the contents of the archive.
